Icebreaker wool, while a bit pricey, is the absolute best! It holds up much better than SmartWool’s stuff. My wife loves it so much that I may as well buy their stock.
I have a pair of the merino bottoms that are dreamy–warm, soft, and comfortable. Wish I had the top.

I wasn’t feeling it this morning either. But I did it anyway and it turned out pretty nice. I need to think about that towpath detour though.
How about tomorrow? I haven’t ridden that way in awhile. Leaving from house at 7:00 am.

I’ll never get out before 7:00. It sucks, but at least I’m aware of such limitations.

I rarely get out of bed before 7:00. It’s awesome, but at least I know it.

I’ve been getting my merino on steep markdowns at someplace like Sierra Trading Post. But watch out for the RedRam version of Icebreaker, they are less expensive but in general the reviews indicate they are lower quality.

I’ve been getting them on sale on The Clymb. Today I was comfortable in bike shorts + those BF260 tights…

I have yet to receive my first Clymb order placed in late September. They sent my package to someone in California. 😡

Have you called them? I’ve been a customer for years, and have had a few issues, but their customer service has always gone above and beyond.

Participant23 degrees when I left the house. Smartwool under WindStopper kept me toasty. Lovely ride:

Don’t get me started! The long story short, I didn’t get my stuff, they cancelled my order, they said they refunded (but didn’t until I called a second time), and gave me all of $10 off my next order for the inconvenience (like I’d ever order from them again after my first and only experience). The customer service guy was nice enough, really …

Sucks. Like I said, they’ve always gone above and beyond for me. E.g. I once purchased something from them that stopped working within a year. The company that produced it had gone under. The Clymb refunded the purchase price, which was way more than I expected.

ParticipantMy morning commute was on the Tandem Taxi and it was awesome. That things gets some serious respect from cars, cyclists and dogs alike. The peds can still be a little clueless though.

I pulled up maybe 30 seconds after that picture was taken to find that my odometer just rolled over to 2,000 miles on the Bianchi. And I chose to do the Friday Coffee Club Rollout (the shortest, slowest, and most photographed group ride in the DC Metro Area) with the WABA sign rather than get coffee by myself.

ParticipantYesterday the Arlington PD brought out the heavy artillery (a pickup truck!). Here’s a scofflaw driver getting ticketed:
