Yeah, first hit is free, and then we get you addicted. Of course, all the other hits are free, too, but still… :D @Switch 226363 wrote:

Promised myself I wouldn’t do this to myself again. After a year or two off, I’m looking forward to FS24!

Hello all, I’m new here thanks to bmillah.

I mostly train on roads and race on gravel, though by “racing” I mean “DFL.”

When I’m not on the bike I am in Silver Spring, making homemade pizza and trying to keep my kids from destroying civilization. Doing well on the pizza part.

Gonna be in the Friend(s of BAFS) Zone this season. I realize that ski season has me on the indoor trainer far too much to be of help to any team.

Decided in 2021 that I wasn’t going to drive to work anymore – after two years of commuting by bike year-round, I’m excited to learn about FS!

    Hi all,

My name is Patrick and I’m new to Freezing Saddles. Been riding/commuting/racing and generally messing around on bikes year round since the mid-90s. Aside from commutes, I’m riding a lot of gravel/rail-traily stuff these days, but also ride road, MTB, fix. Looking forward to participating and some interesting reindeer games. See you out there!

    Going to try this again…
Hi everyone, I’m Andy. I’m here because BMILLAH made me do it. I live in the Colesville area of Silver Spring. I do most of my training on the roads of Montgomery Co., but enjoy a fair share of gravel racing. I did the Unbound 100 and Rebecca’s Private Idaho this year.
When I’m not on the bike, I work in civil rights and civil liberties policy, bake bread, make the occasional piece of art, and try to keep my kids from destroying civilization as we know it (trying!). Hope to see you all out there. I volunteered to help set up happy hours and stuff.

Hello, I’m excited to participate this year! I live near Hyattsville and I have friends who do this every year. I ride pretty regularly to and from my nearby gym in the winter but I’m hoping to use this as motivation to ride even more in 2024.

    Hi all,

Likely going to register this year, so this is me putting that thought down someplace on the internet. Went car free last month, so expect to do a few more miles than last winter, but we’ll see!

    Cheers,
    Alex W

Hey everyone! I did BAFS for the first time two years ago in 2018 and it was awesome. I ride my bike(s) a lot more now, and I’ve met a bunch of people.

If you’re new to the forums, you can get your required first post here, so you don’t need to open up a new thread. If you’re not new, still feel free to let people know a bit about you (if you’d like).

This is my first one! Surely, unless there’s ice, I can ride at least a mile a day, right? (mostly just getting a post in here…)

Hi! I’m Des, new to the site and the whole concept of Freezing Saddles and excited to have a motivator to get on the bike during the cold months! I live in Anne Arundel County/Maryland and look forward to riding and meeting people. Cheers!
