On my way in, riding down Eads St, I witnessed KNOWN MONSTER Steve-O as he sweepsplained a poor streetsweeper. I did not stick around, so said streetsweeper may have swept said street with Steve-O.

I sent a thank you note to my state senator and state delegate. They need to hear that their efforts are appreciated and necessary. That VDOT proposal is a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

In fact, the only thing lame here is the implication in this statement (and others on this thread) that only fit and unburdened people should be equipped with the ability to bike fast on trails.

Okay cool so at least we can all agree that fit and unburdened people using pedal assist on flats are lame af!

    CONSENSUS! Woohoo!

We might all come at this issue with different opinions and agendas. However, I am confident that we can unite in agreement that using pedal assist on flat ground on the trail is laaaaame af.

Can we make a trade where we allow some eBikes on the trail but get to set the ELF on fire and throw it in the Potomac?

I also feel completely drained after uphills in custis trails after I pedalled up. Do you have any suggestion on this?

Suggestion: always do the Arlington loop counter-clockwise. The good news is if you feel completely drained you are doing it right.

    Hi,
I been biking for more than 2 months now. I improved my speed from 5mph to 11mph. However, I been stuck to that average speed for 2 weeks now. And I guess I wont see any improvement soon…

    Ride hills.

This thread is a good example of why you should just always ride on the street.

Sorry mr black snake all stretched out on the path in a straight line. I thought you were a stick and at the last moment could only steer so I missed your head and tail with the front tires but got you right in the middle with the rear one. You twisted up and then exited the path so I didn’t kill you outright. That part of the w&od west of Vienna has a lot of walkers so take care. Not everyone is is going to appreciate a 3ft snake using it to sun yourself. Apologies for going to fast to stop. My bad.

You are a goddamn menace to all living creatures.
