Someone perhaps pre-caffeinated left an odd note at the door of Lazy Mikes this morn, confusing and confounding the staff. It said something along the lines of it being approximately 7.03 am yet Lazy Mikes was closed. Scrawled on the remains of what appears to be a priority post, the staff was less then sure how to take this. Was this a manifesto of the Liberation. Pancake Front? Should they report this to the Department of Just-Ice Cream?
Lazy Mike came up to me himself and said “We be like open at 7.30 am just like we always open at 7.30 am – should we worry this manifesto left at our door?”
Was the note both fast and friendly?

~15 hours? That should be enough time to finish the C&O in a day, especially if you have gears
Only an idiot would attempt that.

Can you explain your reasoning? If I pass someone who is biking aggressively in my lane and there is a small amount of contact I would focus on maintaining direction and control. Looking back isn’t on my todo list for at least a few seconds if at all especially if the traffic is heavy. So why would you expect the east bounder to even know there was an accident, let alone that it was serious? Turning around and heading back toward the westbound cyclist could be perceived as escalating an otherwise mild altercation especially if the east bound cyclist sees any mishap as the fault of the west bounder’s bad riding.
If you ever bump me on the trail you better kill me.

ParticipantThis thread is gross.
Sending good vibes to Hannah, however. No one should have to deal with that.

I find it amusing that they would waste the effort to get people who have ridden one day. But maybe the choice of cheatees was very low.
As usual you have absolutely zero idea what you are talking about.

Clarification: there is no “powers that be.” There is no “their game.” There is no “their rules.” There is no ‘they.’
The game is we. Us. You.Perfect. I just made a rule that you can join the game any time you want, so SUCK IT, RENAULT.

ParticipantSaw and chatted with Coach OneEighth down at Thompson’s Boat Center working with his Yorktown HS crew team. I was proud of him for walking around in his bike shoes. STRADDLING BOTH WORLDS.

ParticipantOr! You could just go out and climb so effing hard and long that you wouldn’t even have to make excuses for your bicycle computer.

However, I WILL be the biggest circle on the distance/elevation/speed page on these nonsensical pages you (we) have come up with. I’ve also conceded the mileage king, because I can’t log in that many miles while doing all these “fun” hills.
If anyone has a bigger circle, I will by them a six-pack of their favorite beer.put your rulers away boys, I think we have a wiener.

ParticipantNice you have Ian on this team too? Great team. Not as strong as the team I am on (Team 20), but a strong team nonetheless!
