    I think I had a BD siting today. I was heading East on the Custis down into Rosslyn and I think the BD was stopped at a light heading West (on it’s way up the Rosslyn hill) around 5pm. It took me a minute to figure out where I’d seen the BD before. I should have turned around to introduce myself and just head home – I ended up flatting 3 times in the next 5 miles.

    Great pic Dirt – this is impressive! At the agency I work for, our bikes locked to bke racks in the garage doubled on Friday, from 1 to 2!! Rather embarrasing.

    Just got back from the Conte’s Pit Stop in Ballston. I was there when it opened and it was pretty light traffic-wise, but by the time I left it was picking up quite a bit. I actually won a raffle there – got some nice SmartWool socks out of it.

    I think traffic on the W&OD/Custs tripled this morning – it was awesome to see! Even Fairfax Drive had a steady flow while I was on it.

    Is there a place to lock up your bicycle? Indoors or outdoors? Indoor (not sure I’d bike commute if it were outdoors)
    Can you take your bike in the building and up to your desk area? Nope – although I’d like to ; )
    Is there a place to store and change clothes? Yes
    Shower? Yes
    Are there many other bike commuters at your workplace?Unfortunately not. Even though there are over 1000 people in my building.
    Have you formed a club? No
    Does your employer offer the $20/month bike benefit? No
    Any other bike activities through the workplace? Nope

    I’m in the W&OD to Custis clan and then about 1 mile on roads. Pretty short commte, only 5.5 miles.

    Great site!

    Custis isn’t too bad and W&OD isn’t either. However, I’m riding on studded tires so I dont’ have to worry about it. I’ve taken enough falls on ice that I’d rather move slower but make it safely.
