ParticipantLast night I decided to walk home rather than bike because, after a long day, I didn’t have the energy to deal with traffic. I could only smile at the irony after almost getting taken out in the crosswalk at 21st and Penn by a CaBi rider wearing a helmet and high-viz vest!

Finally got a chance to play with a 360 camera (Insta360 One X). They are fun!
Took me a minute to realize I could pan the view by clicking & dragging. Pretty cool.

Does anyone who is coming have the technical savvy and technology to set up an automated slide show of all the cool photos from Freezing Saddles?
It would be awesome to have all those photos scrolling through during the time we are not actually awarding prizes. There are almost 2,500 photos!! One every 2 seconds would be 90 minutes of slides. Wow.
I can do this if someone from the tech team sends me the photos or tells me how to batch-download them.

ParticipantI’ll probably come down around 930 or 10 for my first and last HP laps of the competition. Not sure how late I’ll stay.

Excellent! I miss bike camping and can’t wait to get back out there. Hopefully not too many skeeters yet?
None as of last week!

ParticipantIf the page says “out of stock,” does that mean registration has filled?
Looks like a great student/instructor ratio (10/3).

ParticipantThere may be snow up in Gambrill but down on the C&O it’s camping season again! Had a great, quick weeknight escape up to the Horsepen Branch campsite at Mile 26. Water is still off, so I carried a few liters in.

ParticipantBikedavid has very kindly loaned me his folding bike for a short trip to North Carolina. I rode it to Union Station this morning and treated myself to an almond croissant from Pret a Manger.
It was my first time on such a machine. Even though I had a heavy duffel on my back it rode very well. I also felt more comfortable riding short sidewalk stretches than I would on a full-size bike.
Thanks for keeping me on the board for Team 5 this week, David!
