Are all the beers sold at any GB brewed at that location? None trucked in from other GB’s? And Sweetwater – I have not been, they are (or were?) owned by the Georgia brewery of the same name, but somewhere I read that they brew some beers on premises? I assume all beers at Dogfishhead alehouse in Seven Corners come from Delaware, and at Heavy Seas in Rosslyn come from Maryland.

We always asked to confirm that the beer was brewed on premises, sometimes brewers collaborate on beer and so the specific beer might not have been brewed at that location. I think some at Cap City are not brewed there – the Cherry Blossom Wit? My recollection is that the GB beers were always brewed there and Mad Fox brews in Falls Church, not in Glover Park. Sweetwater brews in Merrifield, perhaps the beer would have been more memorable if they had brewed in Georgia (did I say that out loud?).

I’m planning to attend and will ride back to Falls Church. Anyone willing to go slooowly up the Custis west is welcome to join me.

OK, I wasn’t actually on a ride. This is probably the WORST place to try and go in Tysons on a bike: Capital One World HQ.

I told someone I didn’t have any pictures of me as a kid on a bike, but this one taken in Annandale was located. I don’t remember this bike, just the streamers and the basket, (and the pigtails).

There is a guy that I see almost every morning jogging between Gallows and Virginia Lane on the WOD who jogs whilst wearing khakis. He is much too thin to be Dismal, but maybe he is Dismal’s accomplice in crime.

The one with the white undershirt with all the holes in it? And the big headphone cans?

Are there many bike racks at all in Tysons, apart from the Metro stations? It doesn’t seem likely but maybe there are.

It depends. I haven’t had trouble finding a rack near the malls or near an office building, but at the older strip mall with Performance Bikes and the Chinese place, there are no racks. Most office buildings have some form of rack in their garage, I haven’t seen any really nice facilities like “bike rooms” in Tysons.

Wasn’t Monday a federal holiday? I’d expect most people were at home wearing their slippers drinking their coffee.

Or eating pancakes at Mike’s Deli and then going to work late.

Mike’s Deli opens most Mondays at 7:30 – so that is when we start to gather. They tend not to open on time for holidays, but I’m not sure if Columbus Day is a “Mike’s Deli Recognized Holiday.”

I’m in for this Monday, but perhaps, given the holiday and potential for a locked door, the time should be delayed?

    … my rear light.

Last Thursday I left work in Tysons later than usual and turned on my rear light. After getting home in Falls Church, I didn’t need to turn it off because it had fallen off itself. If anyone sees a Thunderbolt taillight between Tysons (Gallows bike lane) and Falls Church (W&OD to Railroad Ave.) can you let me know? It has a “K” in silver sharpie on the underside.

I try the opposite approach – “I like your lights!” – to well-lighted runners and walkers.

The “your slimming black top and black capri yoga leggings make you really hard to see” wasn’t working for me.
