5/2/24 – slice

Lookit what got SLICEd offa my bike today*!

I really needed a new derailleur -.and wouldja believe Trek no longer makes derailleurs for their ’08 Madone? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻

Luckily I have this great 🚲 mechanic friend….. Anne W found me a used one on ebay in good shape – at such a great deal that she was afraid it would go if she didn’t buy it herself immediately! So I picked it up from her place en route to the lbs 😁💕🎊🤩

I rode with bikingjenn yesterday, & after this whole adventure day, she said ” if it were Freezing Saddles I’d detour to the holocaust museum cuz the Diary of Anne Frank is in there. But she & Robin had play tickets for the pm so probably she didn’t wanna add the extra detour for just 🤪😃🎊. It was a better idea than I had, though.

4/30/24 – PROWL

When this guy isn’t on the PROWL he likes to hang out on this tree – often with his mate – who might be on the PROWL right now.

Or maybe he’s on the PROWL right now and this IS his mate. I can’t tell the difference between eagle genders even when they’re close and facing me 🤷🏻😆

BTW I got really lucky with this pic. I often miss the eagles in this tree even when others in my group see them – and I hardly ever stop for a photo cuz it’s a fast ride & catching up is hard.

AND I forgot to check today’s wordle til I finished my ride…. and this was the only photo I’d taken!

I wasn’t gonna submit this one cuz it was bikingJenn’s idea – but she hasn’t yet so 🤔🤷🏻

We were riding with Marti and she saw this duck in the bank of the pond. I really wouldn’t have seen it without her pointing it out to me and walking me through where exactly it was …..even so I see it way better in the zoomed in picture. Clearly Marti has LASER vision Just a bunch a grass down there, right? Well look – same pic, zoomed in:

4/17/24 – TITHE

Ok this one is a reach, but the dictionary says it means a tenth….. though usually of goods or income – which is why my entry is a reach. Good thing we’re only playing for funsies now 😁🤷🏻

There were 11 people on my ride today. So I took a pic of 1 and 1/10th people. I used my sucky selfie skills to accomplish this. This is Mark B and a bit of me. Is it exactly a tenth? 🤔😁🤷🏻

4/15/24 Hey @ccalhoun sorry I’ve been a li’l MIA these past few days. But GURL I couldn’t possibly keep up with you anyhow. You get up and go FIND stuff! Whereas I’m more likely to see if I can find something that fits on a ride I’m already going on….. Cuz I’m about 99.9% people motivated 😁🤷🏻

But turns out I got an award for that! Cuz I think @kbikeva (who won’t be checking here now I’m sure) musta noticed….💕🎊🎶😃
