Also I won something too! My first grandchild, born at 230 am today Hazel June Pearson-Beck, 7 lbs. And she’s not even wrinkled like her dad was! 😁My firstborn with his firstborn 💕

3/20/25 – DOG

This is Wally. He was SO FRIENDLY! But I wasn’t gonna ignore him to take a pic while he was greeting me & licking me

and by the time I got my phone out & the sweat wiped offa the lens he looked like this 😁🤷🏻

3/19/25 – freestanding garage

The trees make it a li’l hard to see, but the garage is on the right with the cars and people (you can kinda see one in the pic) and the house is on the left partially obscured by trees & brush.

3/18/25 – TIMER

My inner TIMER was clearly honed in Puerto Rico* cuz I struggle to get places on time… especially rides in winter & early spring when the chilly mornings & warmer afternoons incentivize waiting! So today was the first time in awhile that I made it to my Tuesday am Belle Haven ride.

I WAS late. I was expecting to ride straight to Fort Hunt and catch them there (the ride gets to Fort Hunt a twisty way, so catching up is possible.) I arrived 5 minutes after the start time but I was so lucky, they were still there!

Here’s most of the group at the first regroup.

This is a guy dominated ride, but we were 4 women today. You can see Terre & Janice on the left behind James (smiling, front left.) Brenda & a few of the guys were still riding up the hill. I did have 1 group selfie, but James wasn’t in it so I opted for this one instead.

The smiling guy on the left is James Graham, who played FS 1.5 times and always finished near the top. He just retired, so this was his first time riding with my Belle Haven group. 😁

*I grew up in Puerto Rico when I was 6-17 years old, almost all in the 70s.

1. In 3/17/25 – LASSO

At Meadowbrook Park I found a stable with horses & ropes attached to the outside of the building that look like they’d  work great for LASSOing.

I zoomed in on a section of the stable so you could more clearly see the horse’s head sticking out. You can see the  LASSO rope attached on the outside of each stable

3/16/25 – STAMP

I buy my STAMPs at this post office – & more often I bring in a piece of mail that needs to be metered & they STAMP it.

Course I live around the corner from Consularrider, so this is also Preston King Station in Westover, but luckily a completely different angle 😆 😁🤷🏻

Idk if this hot li’l 3 whreled sports car is very practical but WOW is she pretty! So, obviously public art 😁👍🏼

@Sszibler it’s called Extra Mile pointless prize. It’s really about the misadventures involved in getting out to ride every day – so your story might not be in the running for points, cuz I’m thinking your struggle was to get the scavenger pic – but it’s a great place to share your FS misadventure stories cuz they were invited. The last story shared was not for points, but finishes with a gratitude to FS.

@FionaGrant So cool that you went! How was it? (I meant to go but my lower  back has been bothering me – and somehow that means I can’t do as many things. Probably cuz the first thing I wanna do when I get up is sit with the heating pad on my back for an hour or 2….) Were there other cool signs? Did it inspire hope?
