    @FionaGrant So cool that you went! How was it? (I meant to go but my lower  back has been bothering me – and somehow that means I can’t do as many things. Probably cuz the first thing I wanna do when I get up is sit with the heating pad on my back for an hour or 2….) Were there other cool signs? Did it inspire hope?

    Sign said it was 36 degrees!

    There were big rocks, mooshy mud-like stuff, and at one point I was clinging to a chain-link fence with one hand, holding the bike with the other, and trying to balance on a narrow cliff ravine. I finally went back because it was too dangerous with each step and hung the bike on the locked 7’ or so gate, went back and traversed the fence cliff with both hands/fingers grasping the links.

    Dumb adventure!

    @Sszibler it’s called Extra Mile pointless prize. It’s really about the misadventures involved in getting out to ride every day – so your story might not be in the running for points, cuz I’m thinking your struggle was to get the scavenger pic – but it’s a great place to share your FS misadventure stories cuz they were invited. The last story shared was not for points, but finishes with a gratitude to FS.

    3/15/25, LADLE:  My buddy Brad with the Caboose kitchen ladle, about to serve himself some FOG IPA – apt because we had been riding for an hour in a misty cloud. Thanks, lovely Caboose staff!
