ParticipantSo we didn’t get weather for about 5% of our rides, yours included, possibly because of privacy settings. However I’ve tweaked a thing, now that we know what to look for, and we’ve added a number of additional hours below freezing to the group total, so you should have weather for (some of) your rides! And yes, a 54ΒΊ coldest ride would have been a bit shameful.

ParticipantTemperature is not pulled from your ride, but from the weather station readings from your approximate ride GPS location and approximate time. These readings often don’t precisely match what you experience, but we’re a technology upgrade away from being able to pull head-unit temperature. If you log into the FS site, click your name in the top right and select My Rides, it lists every ride and the temperature. If you rode on 1/22 or thereabouts you should have a lower temperature recorded. Would need your Strava ID to diagnose any more (I’m Mrln π§ββοΈ).

ParticipantJust give it time, things will settle overnight.

Participant@bigredboiler some of the activities are “followers only” or otherwise restricted, but they’re all real activities. Have you followed Sophie? More of them might be visible then. The Strava UI is also not great for paging through these things, it would not surprise me if it gave an incomplete view.

ParticipantFreeze points?
(11*(ATAN((R.distance+4)-2*PI())+1.4)-2.66)*(1.2+ATAN((32-W.ride_temp_start)/5))
So rides above ~46F are negative.

ParticipantYou appear to have a ride on day 33 that took 7 days. We can’t see the activity, but if you look in Strava, what does it show under “Elapsed Time”?
Can you use the Split activity (shows elapsed time) or Crop activity to remove the extra time?

ParticipantI’ve been thinking of a “your stats” module on the website (if folks actually check the site). It could count the # days you haven’t ridden and have a warning bar for low riders, along with the more positive stats.

Participant@Pete Kiehart, your profile does not need to be public but you need to click Log In on freezingsaddles.org and permit the site to read both your public and private rides. Eventually things will sync.

ParticipantAlso π€ the right /wrong sides of the river must be a joke, right?
It might be a joke to you, but some of us take this competition seriously.

ParticipantReally, the first ten city slickers who opt out should get put in a non-zip code team together, as a lesson to us all.

ParticipantThere’s no real review, there was a one-time crude purge of duplicate rides, where Mrln rode with Mrln because he recorded on two devices and didn’t delete one.
