ParticipantI finally figured out the cause of the bizarre sensation I’ve been having in my right leg since I crashed!
I’ve been having the very odd sensation that my right pedal is going to hit the ground at the bottom of my stroke, as if somehow my right crank & leg were suddenly longer. It’s been making riding rather unnerving at times.
I finally figured out that what I’m actually feeling is some residual looseness/weakness in my right hip (which could be kinda cool if I knocked all the tightness out of my hip flexor :p ) that’s making it feel like my whole leg is dropping farther than the left.
Weird!
Gonna stick to slow easy riding – I’ve been pushing my running build this week anyway.
I shall now attempt to propel myself up the giant hill with calm Zen-like thoughts.

ParticipantThis is a great topic! It’s getting dark earlier every day…
I need to get a headlight-for-seeing soon. I’ve got the Cygolite Expilion 300 on my wish list – think that’ll do me?
My front be-seen lights are currently a Blackburn Flea, which has a seizure-inducing blinky mode that I use in traffic, and a Planet Bike Spok. The blinky mode on the Flea burns through the charge on it like crazy so I try to remember to charge it when I get home every riding day. It died on me on the way home Monday because I forgot, and the Spok was right behind it. (I think I bought the world’s crappest 2016 batteries off Amazon.)
For taillights I’ve got a Planet Bike Blinky 3 (formerly on my helmet & currently on my bag until I get a new helmet it can go back on), a Spok Tail on the seat post and a Superflash on my seat bag. I think I’m going to stick some double sided tape in the clips on the Blinky & the Superflash because they’ve gone flying a couple of times.
For side lights I’ve got the Nite Ize disco spoke lights. The guy that fixed my frame on Thursday mentioned that these are made from VERY tough plastic and to be sure to check they’re secure before riding because he’s seen them twist round and destroy someone’s fork. So that’s probably a good thing to check.

A few years ago my kid (when 1 yo) managed to purchase something via my xbox controller (with the TV off). I was at work and got an email confirmation. Luckily it was only a $1 purchase.
Can I borrow your kid next time I need to DL an XBox game?

ParticipantZOMG it was SO NICE out this morning.
I couldn’t even make myself go fast (even though I was running late). I was behind a couple of slow people (well, slower people. I am a slow people.) on the way in and I just wheelsucked them for a while. Very relaxing.
Cars gotta stop making U-turns through the Penn Ave cycletrack, yo.

ParticipantShopping for imaginary bikes is much less stressful than shopping for real ones

ParticipantKrazygl00 is using his evil mind powers to make me buy a 1970s Scandinavian road bike with downtube shifters and no rear wheel. I’ll let you know how that turns out.

ok, going completely off topic here, sorry! As long as we’re starting to dream and posting such pretty bikes, I have to add the Foundry. Unfortunately, I think they might be way overpriced, but damn they’re pretty bikes.
Crabon?! But don’t those explode if sunlight touches them?
(Or sidewalks?)

Um, don’t forget about the Roper too! I found out about it two weeks after buying my bike. Maybe someday.
Oh that’s nice too! Except for the whole brown thing. Not feeling the brown.
Hmm, I wonder what gearing I want on my imaginary bike? Dubbel? Trippel? Oh wait, that’s beering not gearing…

Disc Truckers are awesome.
That Raleigh Furley is really nice looking! If I want to get into major imaginary moneys I could add a Vamoots LT to the list; or a Rivendell A. Homer Hilsen, or something custom from SixEleven… anything steel & lugged really
