I’m planning on coming! Denizens in Silver Spring might be an option for the spring happy hour, when I helped plan an event they didn’t charge us a fee or have a food/drink minimum.
-ShiraThere’s a Denizen’s in Riverdale as well!

@ JoM – how did you rotate your photo? Mine keep loading sideways as well.
Hi, LGRides, I’m not sure either, but I deleted the first upload and for the second upload, I used a smaller sized image (large vs actual size). Hope that helps. Happy Seeking!

ParticipantThanks for the incentives, I learned a lot about FDR and the New Deal. And thought about some of the parallels to current events. Thanks for the gift certificates! Will let you know! It was fun seeing sites from NY and when we start to travel again, I will definitely keep looking for ND sites and learning more about the history. There are still tons out in our area, so on days when I need a destination, I might just pick a point on the map! Also, keep me posted on the ER and DOI tours!

ParticipantOld Municipal Fish Market Renovation (demolished) – Washington DC
The Fish Market was built in 1918, and refurbished by WPA in 1935. In the 60s, it was demolished to make way for I-395, and the Fish Market was rebuilt on Maine Ave.

ParticipantLast STEM entry: Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
Thanks for organizing, Bikesnick, it was good ti meet you last night!
Right off of the ART, make sure to visit the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in the summer to see lotus flowers and water lilies! The blooms come early to mid-summer and peak in July. There’s a little museum, too, that talks about the plants and fauna.

ParticipantFor my last entry, which I realize might be late, I took a picture of our typical meet up spot in Hyattsville, Maryland Meadworks.
It’s a great spot to hang out, too!

Okay, I’m going to have to forego one of these points. The prizes are not worth my ending up in the hospital, which is what would happen. And then I wouldn’t even get the points, because I’d fail the “Not crash after taking the picture” part.
Carol, You can get 1 point for a Panda!

ParticipantAlbert Einstein
Einstein is most well-known for his theory of relativity (e=mc²). Did you know that he also played the violin?
He was also a great supporter of civil rights and if he were alive today, he would be speaking out about public health issues.
