So, drevil’s fat bike didn’t do its job today, because he left it at home!

We went to the Proteus Breakfast meet-up at The Board and Brew. For some reason, drevil decided to take the borrowed road bike even though it was already snowing when we left the house. He was careful and even walked the wooden humpback bridge. He almost got to the turn, but he hit a patch of ice and down he went! Flat on the ground. Of course, I asked if he was ok — and if he wanted a picture.

Luckily he just skinned his knee. Be safe out there!

Hi, Steve and Leslie, Thanks for posting up intros!

I’m Jo (JoM) on the forum… this is my second year in BAFS. My husband, Ricky (drevil) talked me into doing it last year. It’ll be fun he said. Meanwhile, if you remember, it was sub-freezing temps for most of January 2018! I typically mountain bike, but we ride around College Park for errands, etc. and occasionally commute to work.

Looking forward to meeting all the team members, unfortunately, the pics from the HH didn’t come out, since the lighting was bad. We’ll have to plan a team ride soon!

ltierstein, Just catching up on the forums, it was nice to meet you at the FS HH last night. Glad that you were well enough to come out. Take care of you first, don’t worry about FS!
But please let Team 4 know when you are ready to go, maybe a few of us can join you.
    Healing thoughts for you.
    Jo

Kurt started a thread for the team name in Strava… so check it out the options there.
(Steve O – you can throw your suggestion into the options as well!)

Yes, Thank you, Carol, for all the work you’ve done getting folks registered. I’d like to think that I followed all the steps and have successfully
signed up for a second year of FS. (I think I’m excited…. But after HP100, not really sure any more! ;)

Look for the short Asian woman in a red rain jacket with green FS zipper pulls. I’ll likely be hanging out near the registration or potluck tables from 10:00 a.m. to noon or so.

On our way, will see you at HP.

So far you are the only three that can have a perfect attendance. You all are awesome, especially considering the weather we’ve had. Keep up the great work!!
And to everyone else (including me), just keep on keeping on!! Remember that we do this for fun. But it’s great to be on a team that seems to really get into the spirit of things. Most of you are quite active on Strava and on the BAFS forum. And it’s much more fun being on a team that likes to have fun. Let’s keep it up!!
I really hope that we can manage to squeeze in some type of team ride before the end.

Looks like Mary and Rumi are pulling perfect attendance too! So much fun to be on the most magnificent team!

Hello, Team 7! This is my first FS. I tagged along to a few events last year and did a few beer rides and HH. So decided to join in on the fun this year. I primarily mountain bike, so if you want to ride dirt, let me know. I live in Berwyn Heights, near Lake Artemesia. I used to commute more, but haven’t in the past year or so… but guess I’ll start doing that again soon. 😮

It was great to meet everyone last night! Looking forward to the next 3 months of fun. Looking forward to FS2018 and team rides and other events. I joined the Team 7 group, it was super easy to do, as long as you are logged into Strava!

PS: Full disclaimer, I will most likely not pull in the longest miles, but I will ride my bike when I can! Also, I will try to check the forums more. :p

This year will be my first time to do FS, I did join a few of the organized rides last year. Not really sure what I’m getting into, but I’m sure it’ll be fun, especially, if there are donuts involved!

I was told that I needed to join the forum, in order to play. So I created an account, confirmed my account, posted up here… but still need to figure out the strava thing and the million other rules.

I did go on a few rides last year and went to a few happy hours, so I think I can figure it out and am ready to freeze! But I will definitely need some support. 😮

(There are already 13 pages of posts, just for FS and it hasn’t even started yet? Sorry I didn’t read through them, so if I’m violating any rules, please give me a pass! — I’m sure drevil will give the the cliffnotes version.)
