ParticipantBEST: Easy for me, riding the whole climate ride, didn’t walk up any of the hilss. I still cannot believe i did it. Loved it and totally enjoyed all the scenery I saw.
Worst: This is hard for me too but I think it would be slacking to much at the end of this year. But i am gearing up for Freezing Saddles that will get me going again.
Plus this year I am going to track my total running, biking and swimming distances for the year. Should be interesting.

ParticipantI like it and let’s stick with the idea that our teams cannot trade us once they meet us.

ParticipantI like the idea of a meetup. It would be nice to be able to put names to faces. I have a hard time remembering who people are.

ParticipantI followed Dan for 5 days from new york to dc on the climate ride and it was comforting to see him in the morning and ride behind him again. He and his GPS save me from getting lost.
It was a lot of miles on a really old day. then today I ran the jingle all the way 8K. New PR 50 minutes. Now I need some serious couch time.LIZ W

Registration submitted! Hopefully this will motivate me to ride more this winter than I have this fall!
registration submitted, and I posted about it on our women’s WABA facebook page and on the Black Women Bike DC page. Hope we get more females riding this winter.

Good thing they provided advance notice and a convenient detour. Eastbound traffic has their choice of the water taxi from Old Town or the South Capitol Street bridge.
I am just glad that I commute before 9 am and after 5. I saw the signs they had put out. But I do hate when they close my bridge.

ParticipantI signed up for the 60 too but will have to see how I feel that day. Seems a lot of people/ (WABA women riders, on the other site I am on) are doing the shorter routes. i don’t want to be out to long and miss the after party. I am still debating the distance and if it rains, I will not be out there.

ParticipantI am pretty wimpy with cold and do not know if I could do a rainy ride. but we shall see, I love cider. But it might need to be spiked.
During my last cold I had cinnamon whiskey and cider it was very good.ejwillis62
ParticipantI saw rain in Saturday’s forecast, I will be so sad. Will they still have it if it rains?

ParticipantI don’t know if I can handle freezing saddles, I think I was traumatized last year.
And it is cold already.
