We’ve mentioned two. The one at Bon Air Park where the Custis goes under I66 and the one in the southern part of the County where FMR Trail goes under Glebe.
Thanks Tim.

ParticipantIt was an excellent ride full of excellent people, excellent weather and an excellent meandering route. Only sadness in my mind was the lack of folks at the Bike Show n Tell.
P.S. Buzz makes a mean cookie and tasty coffee.

ParticipantAm I blind or does this thread not mention anywhere what underpass it is we’re talking about?

ParticipantI bike to work because it’s fun.
It’s great that it saves me money and gets me exercise and saves the environment and all that crap, but honestly if it wasn’t fun I wouldn’t do it.

We only have two versions–did you already wear holes in yours?
Oddly enough, despite have something like 2 cowbells, 4 ankle straps and 5 bags, I’ve never received a single pair of BikeArlington socks.

One of the other questions is the funding source, Arlington County taxes or a grant (which was probably someone else’s taxes). Sigh.
I don’t know for 100% sure, but all of the other counters in the ArlCo have been out of Decal Fee money (what you pay for that sticker you put on your car that proves you’ve paid for personal property tax).

ParticipantI know it is just words on a page, but in Arlington those matter.

ParticipantArlington has a GREAT guide to Bike Parking. The clearances are almost more important than the rack. So many perfectly good racks are installed wrong and become next to useless.

ParticipantThanks to everyone who came out to the Board last night – I enjoyed watching the video of your testimony this morning.

Also, are they seriously calling Rt.7 west of the city limit a “neighboring bike route”?
Didn’t you know? According to Fairfax County there’s a bike trail there!
To be fair, their bike master plans does acknowledge that it needs upgrades.
In Arlington we call that a sidewalk.
