You could try Rose Physical Therapy. They cater to sports in general, run workshops for DC Tri Club and other groups in the area, and periodically have a free virtual injury screening if you check their Facebook or EventBrite page (in pre-pandemic times it was in-person every so often at a Pacers monthly group run).

Lakefinder #2 – Constitution Gardens Pond

The biggest pond on The Mall. A fun fact that I learned today is that this whole area used to be part of the temporary office buildings until they were demolished in the 70’s. It’s definitely nicer as a pond than office buildings!d8900aac467d9321179df210e0aecd6f.jpg

Found a Lake Placid in Maryland. There’s no olympic oval or mountains nearby but it is serene. It’s in a community perhaps appropriately called Lakeland in the Kentlands as there a few other “lakes” there. Not sure if we also need a sign but it is listed in Google Maps.27b8ba6fb4e7f3dd47c49c14958362d5.jpg

Here is the tally for noodle soup rides:

    JoM 5
    josh 3
    emm 1
    steveo 1
    brownws 1
    mrhappy_onabike 1

Congrats to JoM with 5 noodle soup rides! There may have been more but these were the ones that were posted.

Also congrats to runner up Josh with 3 vegetarian noodle soup rides! Who knew there were so many vegetarian pho places.

An honorable mention to mrhappy_onabike who seems to have the biggest appetite at least based on the bowl to size of person ratio!

It’s been fun seeing all the different noodle soup places. Hopefully you enjoyed finding and trying them. I’m looking forward to trying many of these places which I didn’t know about since I don’t often go very far north of the river (to College Park) or to the other side of the river (to Old Town to try Yunnan).

Not sure if hot chocolate counts but I stopped by Cafe Chocolate near the White House. They sell chocolates but I believe only the hot chocolate is made in house. The hot chocolate is nice and thick like an Italian or Mexican hot chocolate. You have the choice of dark or milk but if you get the S’mores you get the dark hot chocolate topped with marshmallows. Very decadent!ea895a3953405386be527a37fffc2faa.jpg82a76197bb3c3f187004a3b1bf35b0ed.jpg

Celebrated national public sleeping day on Feb 28 by attempting to sleep outside on a park bench. Probably should have attempted this in the day time when it was warmer!6d02477780eeea52dfb88f9a19b623f7.jpg

Celebrated pistachio national day on Feb 26 by indulging on some pistachio ice cream. Although it was also tell a fairy tale national day, me thinks Snow White and the seven dwarfs would have approved.3fa3a91a29886f0ee190da09c63de5b9.jpg

For Mardi Gras on Feb 25 my work cafeteria was decked out with masks and Mardi Gras themed cupcakes and cookies. The cupcake with the crown on top was too cute to resist. I hope this counts as a king cake!a7b1e3af5d65985e441ae797a0c9dd8b.jpg
