No bike in the pic (rule 2), no point, sorry :-/

Not big and fancy, but I’ve always loved the Trolley Trail signs in PG County.

I C that you use “bar mitts,” too, to accentuate the curved lines. Great artistic interpretation!;-)

I actually thought about taking off the bar mitts to get the curve of the handlebar without them, but decided that was wasting good riding time. :)

#publicartfinder #1 – Duke Ellington statue in Duke Ellington Circle at the intersection of 5th Ave and E 110th St, Harlem, NE corner of Central Park.

I forgot to include my bike in yesterday’s “art” photo on E 126th St in Harlem so it didn’t count.

These are in Crystal City. I suppose one could claim two, but since they are side by side, I’ll just call it one.

Hyattsville has murals all over the place. I’ll have to sneak out and get my favorites, but grabbed a pic of this one (along the Trolley Trail) as I chased a different pointless prize…

“Accord,” 1979, by Alexander Liberman, in an unnamed pocket park/plaza on E 54th St between 2nd and 1st Avenues in Midtown East.

At the Vienna Community Center, right next to the W&OD. It’s called, “Take Flight” and is by Texas sculptors Seth & Missy Vandable. I focused on the side with the boy reading. The other side shows a girl seeming to take off towards the sky. The figures are atop a stack of books.

I don’t know how to make the photo flip upright for posting. Any pointers?

Cliff Garten is an artist and creator of the Luminous Bodies made of stainless steel and LED lights. This installation is the second phase in Cliff Garten’s Corridor of Light. The first one, installed in Central Place Plaza, is called Gravity and Grace. The third is yet to come.

One of my all-time favs, and only visible if you are south or west bound, and not north or east-bound. Go #publicartfinder !!

Another great #publicartfinder contribution, and one which takes on another “glow” at night with LED lights

And thanks for pointing out that yet another art installation is to come at that spot … anticipation!

I[emoji3590]TakeFlight! And easily missed despite its convenient location on the W&OD trail as it’s a congested and curvy intersection of cars, pedestrians and bikes which often force tunnel vision to navigate safely through!

Re sideways pic, this seems to be a common phenomena with droids as opposed to iPhones. Perhaps fellow droid users can offer up a fix? Change the file name, or save as a different file type (.png vs .jpeg)??

    #publicartfinder on!

Since Ricky had us looking for birds, I went to Bladensburg Waterfront Park and took a pic of one of three birds there (with bonus bird flying in the background). I love that so many of these are still around the area after the big public art installation years ago. I don’t see nearly as many donkeys/elephants in DC.
