ParticipantI’m looking into this ride as well. Would be great to ride with the both of you. From what I’ve seen, there is at least one stream crossing so expect to get wet!

ParticipantRasika, showcasing modern Indian cuisine. The owner, Ashok Bajaj, immigrated from India and is now a successful restaurateur with multiple high-end restaurants in DC. Living the American Dream!

ParticipantA memorial to Jules Jusserand, French Ambassador to the US who was a friend of Teddy Roosevelt. They were apparently hiking buddies and there is an amusing account of them crossing the creek.

Guessing there used to be a railway station. Love the appropriately themed train for a LFL!

ParticipantFor my final LFL, would like to highlight this cheerful library on 4313 Knowles Ave recently put up by a friend. It’s conveniently off Beach Dr and is well stocked with lots of children books on the bottom and some cookbooks and novels on top.

ParticipantAnother LFL on the same block on Park Rd between 18th and 17th St. Contained a single book on parenting. Desperately lacking in books!

ParticipantLFL on Park Rd between 18th and 17th St. Could use more novels.

ParticipantThe Georgetown custom house and post office. The top floor used to be for customs when Georgetown was a port of entry into the US.

ParticipantThe National Postal Museum, in the grand building of the former central post office for DC. There is still a functioning, small post office inside but I didn’t realize that the entrance is on the other side.

ParticipantThe Temple Heights Station a bit north of Dupont Circle. Not many temples around here but maybe you could see them in the past!
