Participant@aaron-bikes – I may be one of those people who posts pictures from other places and probably a few lame ones. I put in my time and I’m retired. I enjoy life and riding my bike (in nice weather).
No way would I ever want to run this contest. I’m pretty sure I could get everyone pissed off at me if I was judging. I really didn’t mean to open a can of worms with my comment. Oh, well. At least it got people interracting with each other.

Participant@kbikeva – I’m ‘playing’ two cards and don’t have an ice cream shop! However, usually I enjoy my ice cream at home. I have an ice cream cone just about every night. Mint Chocolate Chip (the white stuff, not the phony green stuff).
@cvcalhoun – I know the game is over. I even told myself not to go by my ‘usual’ yellow car. I just happened to see this old ‘relic’ (which was also a scavhunt). I remember nonsense like that. I still look for mailboxes becuase of this dumb challenge. And don’t even get me started about all those flags out there. It’s nuts.February 22, 2024 at 6:14 pm in reply to: 2024 Photo Scavenger Hunt – Rules and Alternate Words #1132544AlanA

I really didn’t mean to be whiny or sound like I was complaining. I was just making a reference to the ‘photo quality’ part of this game. I’m more of a person who rides a bike instead of taking pictures. Even when I take a picture, I just unclip one foot, take the picture and move on. Although, I have been known to wait for any type of breeze so my flag isn’t limp for the ‘flag’ game.
I play this game because it’s easy and fun. As Carol pointed out, if I didn’t like the rules, I wouldn’t play.
I really do appreciate the work and effort made to run a game like this. That’s why any games I have sponsored don’t involve spreadsheets or thinking!
On that note, I will continue to play with as much enthusiasm as before. I really don’t expect any prize winnings on here to supplement my retirement.
@kbikeva – over 6,000 tons! I had to research that one. And on that note, I forgot to add that the new forum really ruins a lot of the interraction we used to have.February 22, 2024 at 2:19 pm in reply to: 2024 Photo Scavenger Hunt – Rules and Alternate Words #1132525AlanA
Participant2/22/2024 – Heavy
This water tower holds 1.5 million gallons of water. I’d say that qualifies as heavy,

Participant2/22 – POW/MIA (not the usual black one that I normally see). Same place as the Seabees.

ParticipantI know the game is over, but I just happened to see this cool old yellow car and took a picture of it.

Participant@lhasacm – FYI, just remember that a yellow ambulance might get you a ‘fire’ point, but won’t win you Bingo!

Participant@kbikeva – I guess that’s why I don’t get many points. I just look for pictures that will work and take a picture of it. I don’t really put much effort into the framing of the picture. I put more effort into the caption.

Participant@cvcalhoun – Thanks for the heads up about someone winning. I have yellow car on my card but it won’t do me any good. I won’t even waste the effort of getting it even though I have one close by in my neighborhood.
I have submitted a new card for game 3, but just for fun, I’m also going to play along with my original card (I like to torture myself). I just won’t post anything to this site or tag anything on Strava.

Participant@bikesnick – I wonder when there will be a Caitlin Clark flag?

Participant@DCAKen – Some years Feb. has 29 days. Not sure we’ve ever had one with 30 days, though.

Participant@matteblack – It’s mind boggling how many variations of seasonal flags are out there. You have certainly brought this to our attention!
