1/10/24 “Emerge” is a glass mosaic tile work by Valerie Theberge. She intended the many shades of green to reflect the abundant natural areas in Reston. The star shapes you can see were created by students at Hunters Woods Elementary School for the Arts and Sciences under her instruction, with assistance from Shahin Shikhaliyev

This is one of the many local bus shelters that have public art in their design. The ribbon represents the Rio Grande. I think the carvings on the right represent Mexican American heritage and local flora. If you look close at the carvings on the left you can see people doing various things. Do you see the mountain biker?
