    3/3/24 – I led a ride today to see public art in Rockville but I didn’t bet a photo of my bike. Here’s a photo of me talking to the group in from so this Untitled sculpture by William Calfee. Would this count?

    3/3/24 Hard to appreciate how big the shore bird is with the piece of my shifter in the photo. It was about 4 ft high and 5 ft long.

    This is not only New2Me, but new. It’s from a building at 5207 Wisconsin Avenue NW that will be a dog boarding place.

    3/4/24. A new Tino Ortega mural. He is known for those murals that look like Mylar balloon letters. He started out as a tag and graffiti artist and is now in high demand! This phrase literally means, “with eggs” but it is slang for something akin to, “emphatically yes!“” We might equate it with, “damn straight! “ Yes, huevos is slang for testicles.

    @sophie
    CW If there was at least one other FS participant on the ride I will count it, and perhaps even give you some extra points for leading a public art ride! Just be sure you add #publicartfinder to your ride title in Strava.

    New2Me public art find. Relatively recent installation of another gorgeous sculpture by artist Valerie Theberge, just in front of the entrance to the Microsoft building in Reston Town Center. Reston is fortunate to have a number of Theberge’s works throughout the community.

    (Yes, I posted this a day late, but my entries don’t count so it doesn’t matter!)
