Bigredboiler, please let me know if this is not a flag, and I’ll untag my ride.

I counted all flags to-date, but did update/clarify/restrict rule going forward (also updated rules in my main/1st post).
— flag needs to be on a flag pole (vertical in ground or angle mounted to a building)
— spirit of this rule is finding more “traditional” flags (and not banners, little yard signs/banners, etc.)Kris

As long as you can identify the flag to me in the post, I’ll take your word on what the flag is.
If you can’t tell though….then you need to pray for wind or ask someone who hoisted it what the flag isKris

ParticipantHi All – thanks for the great participation and interest.
Quick notes:
1. When forum is down….just post photos (with date of ride/flag so it’s easier for me to track) when forum is back up & I’ll update after that
2. Note I updated rules that flag must be on a flag pole (goal is limiting to more “traditional” flags (vs banners, little yard/garden flags, etc.)Kris

ParticipantKris- do I understand correctly for counting: ONLY 1 flag/day and if the location has more than 1 flag, only up to 3 may be counted on successive days?

Since you added the ‘vertical’ to the rules, I’ll check about something I had in mind for less windy days. I’ve seen a few horizontal flags attached to trees (or something else other than a building) in the area. These are traditional flags and poles but it’s easier to get a picture with no wind. Will I be able to use these at a later date?

A New Pointless Prize – Go find some flags!
- Jan 3 update: Looks like I might need to come up with a tiebreaker
….I’ll brainstorm something
Kris
Might I suggest the following in that regards:
- 1st tiebreaker: person w/ most days ridden
- 2nd tiebreaker: person w/ most miles ridden
The things you think about when walking the dogs in the early AM.
