I had to look up the meaning. Apparently together they spell out Navy Memorial. Singularly the yellow with black ball could mean “I have not a clean bill of health.” Or on a beach to use only soft surfboards.

Chris – I counted the Welcome “flag” from 1/8, but please note rule update I made last week to more narrowly define “real” flags.  Real size flag on a traditional pole (vertical in ground or diagonal on a building).  Others will count at my discretion.  Flags seem easy enough to find, that this shouldn’t be an issue.

At night and without wind it is hard to see that this a a Savannah College of Arts and Design flag.

(It feels a bit creepy taking photos of houses at night.)

I was going to save the American flag for a day when I passed absolutely no other flags. However, this flag hanging in Fairfax County Firehouse #4 in Herndon was too good to pass up.
