    The Presidential Mural on the side of Mama Ayesha in Adams Morgan. Seems like there might be a bit of space to add a couple more!786448a75d64352e1b9549724b90f1bb.jpg

    “Our Lady of the Trail”? Actually a remnant of National Seminary School for women, in the Linden neighborhood of Silver Spring. At the head of Ireland Trail which leads west to Rock Creek Trail.

    Curiosity about it is not permitted? I’m trying to figure out whether it was “placed” or “naturally occurring”.

    Absolutely! Art that ignites [emoji91] curiosity has obviously fulfilled its intent. Yeah Art!!

    And featuring art by a #BAFS offspring!!

    I thought I had posted this already…but I’m not seeing it. This is a mural in Leesburg, VA. Lots of fun detail!

    A photo of my bike in front of this same mural made the final cut on last year’s #freezingsaddles2020 pointless prize https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipN3WFVTh5FDe49OGZfZcA7CMCtbIuYbjUtxu1CFvX1e38Sl8aDuqk82KO1EUHh51A?key=QmlZNUxrZ0l5SDI4RDNocGZmYWx6ZEFiUW8xc19B

    For the daily Scavenger Hunt, I rode to George C. Yeonas Park, Home of the Vienna Little League, to see the statue of a small little league batter and pitcher. Alas, the bat (daily hunt item) was missing from his hands. There was a stick nearby. Isn’t a stick a “bat” in stick ball? I took the picture…

    Thanks [emoji1374] for leaving me the bat [emoji1660] yesterday!;-)890ea9abdbe87fbab945f100290bcd02.jpg

    Do we call it “Ameridog Gothic” or “American Dogthic”?

    Darn it, I forgot the bike again. I’ll have to go back.

    In keeping with my theme of “bicycles depicted in public art,” see cross-posting here for the Mount Vernon Recreation Center mural, as well as a portion of The Mural at Greenhill Properties, below:

    [ATTACH=CONFIG]22608[/ATTACH]

    I say “a portion” because the whole mural is the length of a football field. Read more here. The street address is 611 S. Pickett Street in Alexandria, although the mural is actually on the north side of the building, on Edsall Road.

    A theme within a theme! [mention]komorebi [/mention] appears to have a winning strategy here to amass extra points!!! (+7 points for each set of [emoji605] wheels that my fading eyesight [emoji872] was able to discern)

    Very artsy hood … and the Japanese Shrine would definitely count, too, for this competition,if it only included a bike [emoji605] in the pic somehow, hint, hint [emoji848] [emoji6]
