#PublicArtFinder – Flourish by Harry McDaniel at the Rockville Senior Center. Made of brushed aluminum to look like curvy trees, the branches actually move with the wind! I took a video but couldn’t post it here nor on Strava.

    Name: Midtown Community Community Mural
    Artist: Dana Ann Scheurer
    Location: New Dominion Parkway, Reston

I loved the brightness of this mural. I also liked how the artist incorporated so much of Reston in the mural. The more I look at the more is see.

But I will leave the switch boxes in play for others too seek out and earn 2X points through the weekend. And to make it non-geographical, claim any switch box art in any jurisdiction to claim this week’s bonus points!

Shakespeare in the Park. The Central Park road loop was nicely cleared, but very, very busy with runners and pedestrians. I only saw five or six roadies today.

Will you add a pic of the #publicartfinder piece for those of us who lack the ability to envisage it from your description alone?

If you are a Mexican restaurant or taco place, these days you also need a mural. This is the mural on the side of Rebel Taco next to the U St Metro.

Boomer, thanks for extending this to the weekend. Wraps are a little harder to come by farther out from Arlington/Alex. The weather cleared enough for me to go on a real hunt today for the traffic box wraps in Fairfax. So here they are! The green one is called, “Rocks” and the multi-colored one is called “Spirits Rising”. Up close you can see some spirit-like figures in the latter, but they’re a bit hard to discern. More photos on my strava.
