Bikesnick — how does one get to that spot if they don’t have the link? The drop down menu doesn’t list art? Thanks for the info about the case sensitivity. That’s a big help!
All of the standings for Pointless Prizes can be seen by replacing the appropriate hashtag at the end of this link:
freezingsaddles.org/pointless/hashtag/publicartfinder
At the top of that link it says:
“To see your own, simply go edit your URL bar and replace parkfinder with whatever you want. Only letters and numbers are allowed, and it is not case sensitive (so ilovekittens, ILoveKittens, and i-love-kittens will generate the same results).”Bookmark the link for your reading pleasure later.

Thanks – I figured that out once I got there and read that. There are a lot of new people to FS who did not have a clue about this, me included!

ParticipantMural of Buck Hill, a jazz musician, looking over the corner of 14th and U. Not sure if it still is but at the time it was painted it was the tallest mural in DC at 70 ft tall!

ParticipantA whole bunch of these have been freshly deployed across Virginia, including two in Reston. One is at Wiehle-Reston East Metro station. This one is at Reston Town Center.

ParticipantThe Holy Martyrs of Vietnam church – address is at 915 S. Wakefield St., but this view is from the 9th Street side. What drew me into the parking lot was the statue under the bell tower, but as I got further in, I noticed lots of other art, including what looks like a prayer garden, plus some relief sculptures lining the fence surrounding the parking lot. Quite a delightful find. You can see more photos on my Strava feed here.

We’re not going to get enough warmth and sunshine for the trails (which are essential to this ride) to be safe. Cold we can handle – slick isn’t fun.
I’m leaning towards next weekend as the forecast looks much better – Feb 20 or 21. If you have a preference for which day, let me know!
Thank you everyone for staying flexible. The art will still be there when the conditions are safer to ride!

I vote for Sat, Feb 20. On Sunday I would like to ride with David for his GPS ride.

ParticipantThanks to bikesnick for unlocking the code for the #publicartfinder (NoT cAsE sEnSiTiVe) leaderboard.
https://freezingsaddles.org/pointless/hashtag/publicartfinder
At the midpoint of the BAFS2021 season, we have 49 participants to date. Holy PublicArtFinder Palooza!consularrider is on top of the leaderboard (though has a few questionable submissions of buildings that allegedly have art inside of them still under review by the faceless cabal), with Cathym and Serdar tied for 2nd place, and Kelley W holding on to 3rd place by a thread as Laura R [emoji210] Karen h David jiang are in hot pursuit. But the dark horse may yet be Catedrew on her trike and yard art exploits!
I will update the leaderboard standings based upon extra points awarded to date, and post that on a spreadsheet to this thread. In the interim, Ride on and find public art!
P.S. disregard my standing, as I am not eligible to compete in my own sponsored pointless prize;-)Sent from Boomer_Cycles via my iPhone using Tapatalk
