Next time I might even get my bike in the pic! And yes it was cool to see people working on the mural. There was a very organized looking tent encampment to the right. I wondered if the muralists were also living there.

ParticipantPeter Krsko Murals at Takoma/Langley Crossroads
There are three murals by DC-based muralist Peter Krsko (2 of which I had the honor of helping paint!) along alleys in a 1-block radius just southeast of where New Hampshire Ave and University Blvd intersect in Takoma Park, MD. Not a particularly bike (or pedestrian)-friendly area, but worth a gander if you get a chance.

2. NATRVA (2017)

Three good murals from today’s ride.

Recycle A Bicycle predates Phoenix and their founders were very generous with not only Phoenix but other youth empowerment-through-biking programs all across the country. Very good people!

ParticipantThis sculpture is out in front of 2345 Crystal Drive. There was no informative signage, and I was unable to find anything online about it.

ParticipantI recently heard about the murals at One Loudon. They’re only a few miles off the WOD, so of course I had to go check them out.
This one is for Sarah Bee:

The artist calls these “beecycles,” and he’s been incorporating this idea in his art since college.
This was my favorite mural of the five:

It’s too bad I didn’t know about these murals in time for drevil’s photo of the day “bird” theme — or his “plane” theme!
