Whoa! That’s awesome — incentive to go to Georgetown! Can you be a little more specific as to location?
Sure it’s on O St between 35th and 36th St, a block away from the Georgetown University entrance on O St. Enjoy!

ParticipantI have always thought that these big, shiny baseballs on the garages at Nationals Park are a nice touch.

ParticipantNational Park Seminary Public art, Part 2:
Japanese Pagoda on Linden Lane (Silver Spring, MD)
One of several eclectic “sorority houses” built on the girls’ boarding school campus in 1894, modeled after designs seen in the Chicago World Fair. (Now a restored private residence, but “on the map” as a public landmark on the neighborhood’s interpretive trail.) Stay tuned for more (or check it out yourself!)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re sideways pic, this seems to be a common phenomena with droids as opposed to iPhones. Perhaps fellow droid users can offer up a fix? Change the file name, or save as a different file type (.png vs .jpeg)??
#publicartfinder on!

Re: sideways. I am using an iPhone, so droid info won’t help me. I’m revisiting in case anyone else is having problems. What has helped was something I read on a forum that says the “normal” orientation for a photo for the iphone is with the home button on your right edge (landscape orientation). If I remember to do that, it seems to work but only if I use the on screen photo. If I try to use the side buttons, it goes wonky again. It’s something to do with the way this forum receives the data. So basically, as long as I keep my head on straight and remember to orient properly and push the right button, it works well. I wonder if that is true in life …

ParticipantScout mural off U St, around 12th and W. I like the mischievous look. There is a short video about the making of the mural and how it could have been inspired by the artist’s fiance’s niece.
