Hello, everyone! Long time DC cyclist here who has heard for years about BASF from AliasXIII but didn’t participate due to being a bit of a winter cycling wimp and the inevitable work travel that would get in the way. Looking forward to taking the plunge in 2021!

Hi Everyone – I’m Reilley and looking forward to participating in freezing saddles for the first time. I love to ride gravel and MTBs, and hoping to compete in some local races this year!

Hello out there. My name is Harrison and I am stoked for this year’s Freezing Saddles. I caught the cycling bug commuting year round on the MVT for a few years. I have since moved out to the wild uncharted lands of Central Fairfax and now travel in packs of fellow wanderers for safety as we scour the parkways and boulevards for plump squirrels and dodge distracted cagers.

I am a young and vivacious retrogrouch who thinks his 1981 Shogun 1000 is likely the pinnacle of bicycular achievement and that downtube shifters are an indication of superior character and spiritual enlightenment. It’s definitely NOT that I got lucky buying a used bike and have retroactively justified all of its limitations because it fits so well and I’m stubborn.

    Hale and well met!

    Hey all,

My name is Nick and this is my first year doing Freezing Saddles. Big fan of riding outside during the winter months. Not much of an indoor trainer kinda guy. Excited to rack up the mileage with my road bike and mtb.

Just trying to post something to be able to sign up to Freezing Saddles 2021.

I’m a local Bike Advocate in Burke, VA.

I’ve been riding steadily again since August 2014. I love to ride functionally. If you live near or at Burke, come and join “Bike Burke” :)

I’m excited to join freezing saddles. I need a bit of motivation to get on the bike this winter. Or at all lately, really. Hope to see some of you guys out on the road.

I think I sold that bike to you. Hope you are enjoying it as much as I did.

I ride more during Freezing Saddles than I do the entire rest of the year. About a third of that is at night. I averaged 7 miles a day last year. This year, I’m going for 8!

Long time local, first time Freezing Saddles. I did the Hains Point ride a few years ago in a fit of craziness.

I am also the creator of the WABA Women in Bicycles Strava group, so if any of you are wondering, please join.

Stuck out here in Sterling/Potomac Falls for the foreseeable future, but enjoying the new found joy of Rouvy for some better local ride options.

    Cheers.
