ParticipantThose are cool. I actually like the curved top tube on those with the way it flows into the seat stays, and I usually dislike the look of curved top tubes.

I know that the seat stay connecting to top tube instead of seat tube is not entirely new, but I kind of like the look of these Volagi bikes – I dont care much for the carbon road, but the steel road/CX looks covet-able.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/874048428/the-viaje-bicycle-engineered-for-adventure – $600-ish for the frameset isn’t too bad, either.

Glad they are still going and hope I can throw some money their way one of these days. An all day, smooth riding, road frame sounds great and I like the looks too. Unique!

ParticipantThe two things on my wish list right now are:
– Garmin: no idea but something that will do what my iPhone does with Strava but with a HRM and a cadence tracker.
– Felt Z3. Saw a guy hammering one on Crystal Drive the other day and just loved the look.August 31, 2012 at 3:00 pm #950150Bilsko
ParticipantCross bike, check.
Steel frame, check.
Single Speed Belt Drive, check.
Eccentric BB, check.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151185273981131.498531.76093966130&type=3

Took all my willpower not to order up a test ride!

That’s where I got my Felt: http://www.flickr.com/photos/timkelley/sets/72157628801086311/
Tri360, the new shop in West Arlington, also carries them too.

ParticipantMy coveting has reached new levels. I want to have a wall with dozens of cog rings in my house. From that same photo gallery, I wouldn’t mind that Pinarello TT bike – not that I’d have any use for it, but it kind of looks like a Star Wars X-Wing.

ParticipantToday has been long and stressful and I didn’t get a proper lunch break and I don’t even have a ride home on the bike to look forward to. 😡
Have a robins’ egg blue 50 cm Surly Cross-Check with orange cable housing and orange Ortleib panniers and black & white spiral-wrapped bar tape and a black Brooks saddle (as I just saw the last two on a Raleigh over by Oyamel and thought it looked very nice) bathed, oiled, and brought to my rooms.
Wait, what?

That’s where you went overboard. I could have accepted bathed, oiled (Pedro’s Syngrease, yes?), and the black Brooks saddle. But *rooms* ?! Stop. Just stop.
But just so you know, bike room service is a thing:

ParticipantBake feets! Someone should ride up & down the MVT with one and sell hot cocoa and pastries in the mornings. I think that would be nice. (At night they could have sausages & beer.)
I maintain that a one bedroom apartment counts as “rooms”, as there is the room what is the bedroom, and the room what is not the bedroom.

I love the Retrotecs. I’m likely going to have to have them build me a Twin MTB fixie based upon the new 29+ wheel standard this winter.September 12, 2012 at 3:10 pm #950913ShawnoftheDread

My wife declared that Surley’s robin’s egg blue was the exact color she wanted for our dining room walls. I suggested buying a cross check and hanging it on one of those nice shelf racks every evening. No dice.

But honey, the bike blends in with the wall…you can’t even see that its there!
