This is the sweet fixie that was built by the kids at Phoenix Bikes and raffled off at last year’s Phoenix Bikes fundraiser. If you want a chance to win this year’s fixie and be the coolest kid in town, here is the info for this year’s event on July 20: http://bikearlingtonforum.com/showthread.php?5248-Phoenix-Bikes-Fund-Raising-Event-July-20&p=55954#post55954

This custom-made fixie could be yours by donating to Phoenix Bikes and having good food and drink at the July 20 fundraiser. How awesome is that? You can sign up and get more information at: http://www.razoo.com/story/Phoenix-Rising-2013. If you can’t make it, you can still contribute at that site if you want. Thanks

I can feel like a kid again riding a GT! Oh wait, no that was a Haro.

I’ve never ridden a fixed gear bike, despite dcv’s generous offers to let me try one of his. But if I could convince the wife that I wasn’t insane, I would have one of these right now

I’d have to replace the bar tape with something a little more colorful, though.

That’s pretty understated for Pinarello, but What is up with the top tube on this one?diesel_acid_big.jpg

Is the lungavita the pinarello one or is that the colnago…I forget.
They’re both beautiful FGs. Dave at FCC1 has the colnago and its gorgeous.

Lungavita is a Pinarello. I actually like the one jrenaut posted more though.

for some reason, I can picture Bilsko on one of the newer Lungavitas (maybe minus the red rims)

I would try to keep one of those clean for about a week, then get rid of it in disgust.

    I love this forum…

But I’m confused — can a chain be single-speed specific? Will the chain not work with a derailleur? What will it do – walk away in disgust? Scoff? Run red lights in protest?

And if chains really can be anti-derailleur, would they work with an IGH?
