Firefly does some amazing stuff. I visited their shop when we rode through Boston last year.

More shots of that Firefly Rando…. sooooo many beautiful details:

Interesting…it has a lot of details that I wouldn’t have expected in a rando bike (internal cable routing, no rear rack mounts, integrated shifters). That would make a pretty badass commuter.

Yeah, those internally routed cables (along the fork, no less) threw me a bit, considering the intended rando purpose…but agreed it would be a killer commuting ride.

old-school French randos were designed for front bags and handled poorly with rear weight. (as opposed to british & american bikes designed for rear loads that handled poorly with front weight.) the internal cable routing was a way to show off even then. :)

I personally think the color scheme is fugly, but to each his own. :)

Need a bit more light? 8,000 lumen enough?

Now you just need to find a big enough battery.

It may be a little early for grilling season, but I really, REALLY want this: http://www.mathiashintermann.com/#!backbrat/c1xq4

The only aspect this designer did not account for is that you will be chased by many different kinds of animals (dogs, cats, people, etc.) if you have one of these!

Never too early for grilling, and it can double as a hand warmer.

Hot coals, where’s the gas fired version? Or the electric that you can run off the dynamo hub?

Yeah, a butane canister would work well.
