ParticipantWelcome to the future. I wonder why they didn’t use a belt drive instead of a chain.

Apparently you can order them in different colors.Sweet! I got these for my wedding. My first and only pair of cufflinks, but my wedding was probably the only time I’d ever wear French cuffs, so who knows if I’ll ever wear them again.

ParticipantSince we’re on a trend of bike-related arts and crafts…I really covet some of these prints and T-shirts:

And even though its in the UK, the shipping prices appear to be pretty reasonable.“Great minds ride a bike!”

ParticipantI could see putting this barometer in the kitchen. I imagine it’ll be pretty easy to ignore the tube side which makes it just another silly dohickey.

Love this post… gotta get one! The Tube in London is FAR more reliable then our metro and trains run far more frequently so as you suggested the “Tube” side would be pretty useless here.

ParticipantFrom here on out, I will be recording all my rides:
Oh crap, I just remembered drones are illegal in DC.

ParticipantSo my commuter bike is obviously a gateway drug for a road bike and am plotting to convince my wife to let me buy one this spring/summer. I have fallen in love with a very specific bike at my LBS and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it as a long term bike:

How do folks feel about Felt? Am I too attached? It’s probably a little on the expensive side, but I’m not sure on comps.

ParticipantMy TT bike is a Felt, and I’m a big fan.
Stock 2012 B12, repainted with the TK-1 track frame scheme in mind.

It’s a decent price for a name brand bike with that spec, I think. Those specs (and price) are pretty close to my road bike when I bought it – al/carbon fork, al frame, carbon seatpost, al stem/compact bars, lower end Mavic wheelset. I have Ultegra instead of 105 and Mavic Aksiums instead of the CXP22s but those aren’t really a big difference performance wise, probably just a little lighter/blingier.
The main things I think are a) does it fit well b) does it ride well (subjective obviously) c) does it make you want to ride more, and d) for a long term bike – do you trust the LBS/brand for maintenance/warranty support
Also, there’s no such thing as being too attached to a bike.
