    Do you really need 7 gears on the back? Wouldn’t a fixie, or SS with coaster brake be a better option.

    Depends on the yard. I have pretty good slopes in some sections.

    I’ve got a couple friends who started working with Alchemy Bikes. This one caught my eye.

    Carbon, aero, fixie for Total200 next year? Not to imply that my failure this year had anything to do with riding a steel fixie. Every little bit helps though.

    I think you need to consider a true areobar setup over clipons with drops, even if it limits the number of your hand positions.. A recent study showed a 10-20 percent improvement in efficiency with that type of setup: http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/article/how-aero-is-aero-19273/
