ParticipantAhhh. It must be because my privacy settings don’t share my map info. Under temperature, it shows “ππ€·βοΈ” for every ride except the one I did on a vacation, for which I manually made the map public. I did ride on 1/22; the temp is ππ€·βοΈ. My Strava ID is 153462056. Thank you!

ParticipantI’m here repping Team Bunch! Yes, please do get involved with your Planning Commission (hi! π), Transportation Commission, transportation planning efforts, local advocacy groups (SusMo), etc. for more and better bike infrastructure. And about those hills… I definitely plan my routes around big hills. My kids do classes at Barcroft CC and I once tried (and failed) to get up Walter Reed from S Four Mile Run. Haven’t done that again…

ParticipantHello, I’m Tenley! I bike about 50-60 miles per week with my kids in our Bunch Bike. This will be my first Freezing Saddles, and I’m hoping it keeps me going on all those cold days!

Hi All,
I will be starting a new job by Rosslyn metro and am hoping to commute by bike. Despite living in DC for several years, I’m new to bike commuting and was hoping for input as to the easiest DC neighborhood to commute from (besides Georgetown). I’m thinking Adams Morgan or Dupont, but am also wondering if it’s fairly easy to commute from Capitol Hill (close to the Library of Congress).
Any suggestions or input from you experienced commuters would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks very much in advance.
I live in Rosslyn and commute to Dupont every day by bike. It’s about 20-25 minutes, 2.5 miles. I go over the Key Bridge, down M Street (at 8 AM there aren’t many cars out), and then up Florida Ave. Very easy. You could do the reverse, no problamo.
I wear a reflective vest when I ride since I ride on the street through Georgetown. I feel safe. The rest is done on sidewalks.
