Ironically this intersection actually used to have the euro-style zigzag lines! Only such example on the W&OD (or anywhere else I have seen in this country).
Pretty sure they also had them in Ashburn at the Belmont Ridge Road crossing. Not sure if they are still there as I know they are prepping that area for a new overpass.

ParticipantI am really happy so many folks had a chance to ride out there for the first time.
Skyline really is one of the best places in the world to ride a bike and #BikeDC is so lucky to be just an hour away from Front Royal. Hard not love it there.

ParticipantPretty sure that there is legal precedent for victory as long as someone took a screenshot.

ParticipantI rode Skyline a decent number of times last year and never had a problem with any car or motorcycle or fellow cyclist. There is warm blackberry cobbler and blackberry ice cream at the Big Meadows wayside. That’s really all the reason you need to give it a shot.

ParticipantDatapoint: I was flying through Banneker tonight and jumped the curb onto Van Buren except I unclipped on landing and racked the sh!t out of myself while almost wiping out.
SHUT DOWN THE PARK.

ParticipantI support the bridge, but I also think that intersection is way less problematic than other areas along the WOD. Someone is going to die on Great Falls one day.

Yes, I now purposefully ride Westmoreland St. instead of taking Van Buren up to the trail to slightly reduce the amount of climbing I have to do on my commute
This is the saddest thing I think I have ever read on the forum. I think it’s like 29 vertical feet total from trailhead to the WOD connector at the top.

ParticipantIf you are on the fence about supporting it, remember that a bridge will increase the amount of climbing for your commute.

ParticipantI love you eric but I have no f5cking idea what you are talking about right now.
