    01/30/2025 FALSE

From whence cometh much which could be defined as false

    01/29/2025 Udder

I’m not sure I’m getting this right, but if it’s true that the “Blackhawk” H-60 was under visual flight rules only at such a congested, public airfield, it seems udderly ridiculous, but even as a pilot I don’t really understand all the details.

I happened to be at Hains Point at the time.

At work. If you have a fever, or your room is just way too cold, this wall-mounted thermometer will detect it.

    01/27/2025 SHUNT

In medicine, a passage that is made to allow blood or other fluid to move from one part of the body to another. For example, a surgeon may implant a tube to drain cerebrospinal fluid from the brain to the abdomen.

    Another Example:

A shunt, also known as a dialysis fistula, is a surgically created connection between an artery and a vein that allows for hemodialysis. During dialysis, two needles are inserted into the shunt to remove blood for filtration and return it to the body

I’m still not sure if this falls under US-0654 National Capitol Parks or Rock Creek Park and if it would then be a separate find. Haven’t checked to see if it has a yellow dot yet.

1/26/2025 Sunny whoops! Lost track of time after a late ride

Sunny’s Liquor along MLK in the SE. Planned a different Sunny, A skate park near Greenbelt, along with a COW search at UVM, but bailed when I encountered ice fears. Still in pain from the last fall.

    1/24/2025 CREPE

    Crepe Paper

Photo from Target as it was getting ready to close.

Another adventure in confusion and wonder. The store clerk looked up the crepe paper I was searching for from an online search – all the entries said it was “sold out” unlike my own search that said the Columbia Heights store had it. I should have snapped a photo of her phone’s page. She couldn’t seem to open the entries as I was really interested in what the hell crepe paper actually is. How is it different than tissue paper? Because it’s wrinkly? The paragraph below suggests that tissue paper is different, but then goes on to claim that tissue paper is a type of crepe paper 🤷🏻‍♂️ so that doesn’t help much. Another definition seems to express that crepe paper is more elastic, wrinkled and malleable. My picture looks wrinkly at least. Maybe streamer-like.

So. In the end they were all out – maybe.

“Is tissue paper and crepe paper the same?
Is crepe paper the same as tissue paper? No, crepe paper and tissue paper are not the same. The term “tissue paper” can include many products made from either crepe or kraft. Products like toilet paper and paper towels are types of lightweight crepe paper that is made using an on-machine dry creping process.“

    01/23/2025 UPPER

Upper body workout at the Y.

I was thinking of doing Upper Cardoza Health Center or the upper floor of some building, I was tired of hills and since my hip is still pretty painful for certain movements this seemed like a good idea. Besides two sets of bench presses before closing, I did some rope pulling, Jefferson Curls, and balance board to help with my proprioception after any ligament and tendon damage.
