PLEASE READ

After endless councils of the Wizards of Yore, and in consultation with Orcs on Bikes, we have brewed

CALVINBALL 2021: The Rise of SkyHobbes!

Calvinball is a hot-potato cycling game that celebrates creativity and stoopidity, like Burning Man or politicians. The rules are made up and the points don’t matter. There is no winning Calvinball. There is creativity and inclusion.

The game shall be played on the FS FB page. There shall be a post on FS FB page foretelling the location of the Calvinball.

Obey ye these rules but three (these be the only fixed rules to Calvinball).

    (1) Find the Calvinball while cycling. Post on THAT thread for THAT hide on the FS FB page ASAP that the ball has been found (so others waste not time gazing for it)

    (2) Hide the Calvinball while cycling within 36 hours ⏱️, an easy enough find that even a can find it

(4, NO THREE!) Make a NEW post for the new hide on the FS FB page that includes a clear description of how the Calvinball can easily be found

Points and new convoluted rules seem too flustergutted for 2020. We need a game that even the peasant Dennis could comprehend.

Heed not my warning and be tossed to the Bunny! Calvinball is a competition of creativity, not number of finds. The winners are those who make us laugh If the game delights the elves, there shall be a final round of hides with fabulous prizes for the winners.

Wait! You said there would be no winners!

    No I didnt.

Yes. Yes you did. In the paragraph abaaarrrrrggghhhh

Sorry. The typist has been sacked.

Hog-balls will be cursed If you have lots of finds, please wait before going after a hide. Think about hiding the ball so that new players can join.

Calvinball is a hot-potato game, not a hide-and-seek game. The goal is to keep the ball moving, not make it hard to find. Please state CLEARLY how to find the Calvinball.

Hide the ball generally amongst the cycling trails around DCNOVA. Avoid federal land. Avoid anything that might scare people who dont know the game (dont hide the ball where it might be confused for a bomb – yeah… this happens all the time with geocaching).☠️

Also – as funny as it is – please do not hide hard liquor in the Calvinball. It was funny. But it could also go very very wrong.

Participants please consider donating to either Phoenix Bikes or Gearin Up.

I am Tim the Enchanter , I have spoken.

Hi. I have a question about the things in the CB. Do I own them and fill the bottle with the new stuff for the next player/finder or hide the CB in the same condition as I found it? Thanks!

Anyone coming to see shadows of objects in the Dark Star Park aligning with their permanent forms on the ground tomorrow? I will be there as I work nearby. The exact time of the alignment is 9:32 AM, and they installed tables and chairs around the park. This is how it looks now.

Hi. Does anyone know if jerseys will be available at the Crystal City Water Park on Tuesday morning?
