The headlight issue is definitely on my list and vegetation management is an activity the Friends are allowed to do. There is a spot where I consistently ride off the trail at night. Do you happen to have any pictures of the old shrubbery?

I thought this was just me. What a relief- I seriously thought I was having major night blindness issues.

Maybe if enough “dogs” pee on the shrubs, they will fail to thrive.

Should have taken a photo, but I saw two doggos peeing on these shrubs today!

I remember meeting Dave during my very first DC Cranksgiving. We rode by his house and he gave us cans to donate. He was such a great cheerleader that I remember his booming voice and infectious smile many years later. Tragic he is no longer with us. Are donations still being accepted?

Hello everyone, I’m Grace! I have somehow NOT participated in FS, despite being pretty heavily involved in the DC bike scene since 2012.
I’m really looking forward to bringing an element of silly into this winter!

Yay!! Welcome to Freezing Saddles, Grace!!!!!!

    ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Do audio submissions count for the Public Pharts Pointless Prize or PPPP or Px4?

Suggestion: Traditionally reindeer games are winner-take-all. This usually means games boil down to a very small number of people – or even just one – playing and winning. Maybe design the games so that many people win. For example, Mary’s Coffeeneuring is a challenge where over several weeks one has to visit 7 unique coffee shops and post on social media about it. And LOTS of people love it – because its a means of telling little social media stories. Anyone who qualifies gets that years Coffeeneuring patch. Another design is a scavenger hunt, and anyone and all who complete the scavenger hunt are winners.

Winner-take-all games mean a very very few people play. A game where more people can complete the challenge means more opportunities to play pointless games.

, can I count you in on participating in this PP if I add a category for “Most Lit Doggo”?

    Tattoos

Not one of the options this year, but if I ever “won” Calvinball, I would happily tattoo myself in a prominent epidermal location. Guaranteed an FS tattoo with a tally of years participating would be equally as impressive as an Ironman tattoo and significantly less douchey.

The temporary social-distancing protected bike lane on Tysons Blvd. is gone. Either the pandemic is over, or The Galleria could not countenance the loss of a driving lane during Holiday Shopping season.

I call post Halloween boo sheet on this. Is it possible to make Tyson’s less bike friendly? “Welcome to Tyson’s. America’s Next Great City to die while walking/cycling!”

Note that in past years, Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights has had ticketed timed entry. No telling how it will work this year.

Also ticketed this year with COVID restrictions. I am assuming that Komorebi will look into this to pre-purchase tickets based on registrations and then set up an event Brite ticket fee.

One winner per category. Would be very impressive for a person to win each category, unlikely but not impossible.
