Poll: Way to identify FS2021 participants

Because it gives me great joy to spot neon-green Freezing Saddles zipper pulls or ankle bands “in the wild,” I’m volunteering again to coordinate the identifier for the 2021 edition of Freezing Saddles.

I’m open to suggestions about what the identifier should be. One new suggestion I’ve heard this year is a custom neck gaiter. I’ve listed some options in the poll, and I’d welcome other ideas. Please vote by Sunday, December 6.

The poll is open to everyone who is thinking about (1) participating in FS2021, or (2) spectating from the sidelines.

Spoiler alert: I’m planning to organize a pointless prize based on who spots the most FS identifiers. Stay tuned for more details.

P.S. If you were a participant in FS2018, FS2019, or FS2020 and have lost your (highly collectible!) identifier, I still have extras available. $1 for each zipper pull, $2 for each ankle band. PM me to arrange details.

Not one of the options this year, but if I ever “won” Calvinball, I would happily tattoo myself in a prominent epidermal location. Guaranteed an FS tattoo with a tally of years participating would be equally as impressive as an Ironman tattoo and significantly less douchey.

Since it would only allow 1 vote…I voted “other” for a facemask…what could be more 2021? (we’re still gonna need them). I get that neck gaiters can function similarly but as an historical item…a facemask would be unmistakably 2021.

Neck gaiters won by a landslide (64.5% of the people who voted in the poll, plus several votes in the thread), so neck gaiters it is! I’ll post about ordering and shipping details once I have them.

The company printed the wrong logo on the neck gaiters :mad:, and the gaiters are being reprinted now. Hopefully they’ll arrive soon!
