That sounds good. We don’t want to miss all the fun times.

Hey there! That would be great. And one other person, whose name is as yet unknown, is going late. The plan is to meet at 15th and H circa 6:00 at the start of the 15th St cycletrack by the Treasury Department’s corner.

When are you done with work?

Sorry, I just saw this. OK, let’s meet there circa 6. I’ll be in a pink jacket with yellow helmet cover.
    What’s your name, btw?
    Thanks!

Do you know how to get there? I could get to you by 6 and ride with you. I live in Takoma Park and have no freaking clue what anyone is talking about with these directions. I have a phone, but I don’t trust it with new routes.

Unfortunately, I can’t generally get away from my desk until 6:00. Hopefully I’ll be able to slip out a bit early today, but in any event I’ll be well behind the caravan. See y’all there!

Hey all, I just started a new thread for the late shift. I’m leaving Dupont at 545. If anyone is leaving later than 530, maybe we can meet up? I have no idea how to get anywhere in VA so would like to officially start a late convoy.

I was the opposite–dry hands, soaked jacket. Stupid jacket.

I am good at sleaze rides, it’s true. Taking my first one tomorrow. Or maybe my first full ride, but at this rate the bike won’t be ready for a full commute tomorrow. Where did the evening go?

I had a ride I had to crop today due to a trip on Metro. (I didn’t realize from earlier comments that just pausing Strava on Metro doesn’t work.) Anyway, I manually entered my ride, but my miles total is now 19 miles too high. That clears up automatically when you scoring gods clear the cache, right?

It depends on how and why you’re losing weight. If you’re already super fit and just need to get into a new weight/riding/racing class, which bike you ride might matter. If you’re overweight and trying to change your habits so that you are healthier and happier, then ride the bike that feels like a more natural extension of you. Otherwise it’s harder to build new habits. Cycling wasn’t my first choice of sports, it came to me because of severe knee injuries in karate. So I ride a bike that encourages me to feel happy, and that’s a road bike not a mountain bike. (And I have to undo a lot of weight gain since my injuries, so I know this topic well.)
