ParticipantSaw Dirt while I was out on my wife’s cruiser yesterday, he was leading the Freshbikes ride while in Vienna. This was the inaugural ride for little Walt and I to cruise around on the Burley. Taking the little guy with me on Saturday (on the VO bike) to reach my 3,000mi goal for this year. Yeah, I kinda over shot that goal…

ParticipantTim, if by an off-chance someone did in fact see this bike out there. What is the best thing to do in this situation? Call the police?
Seeking your knowledge…

ParticipantAlmost always lost a multi-tool set or some other object out of my rando bag on these bumps, felt pretty accomplished when I didn’t lose one item at this part of the trail last Friday.

ParticipantPlan on being there.

ParticipantSaw this on Sunday, seems like whoever removed them would not leave them in the bushes to sit for an extended time. Maybe I should go pick them up and decorate my house with bollards. Although, my one year old might hit the bollard while he is riding his Thomas train underscoring their disastrous effects.

You mean you don’t believe he was just trying to match his revs for a cleaner shift?

ParticipantTo the approaching gentleman that revved his Mustang engine as I safely crossed Cedar Lane near Gallows today, did that action make up for all of your inadequacies as a man?

ParticipantIMO eBikes are just an annoyance. The problem is inherent. They are faster than a bicycle and slower than a car, until there are more of these bikes out there the riders of these vehicles won’t get the recognition they want. So, since they are slower than a car they go on the trail. The trouble is the “newness” factor, just like anything else new out there, it takes people time to adapt but unfortunately in this case an eBike on the narrow bike trails takes into account people’s well-being and I dare say lives. Usually there is some sort of noise from a speeding bike, I’ve been the victim of eBikes making no noise at all and go zipping past me UPHILL!

ParticipantDickie, we see each other so much that we don’t post about our sightings, right? That’s what I’m going with. Great to see you again today as always.

ParticipantMy commute was lovely as always but the wife and I bought a Burley yesterday. I outfitted her with a neat Velo Orange bag and got her bike ready and she’s already commuting to work today with the kid in tow! She’s a nanny so she brings our one year old to work. So proud of her!

ParticipantYes, agreed.

ParticipantThis morning, the time between hitting the button and the light giving me the right of way was really quick. Maybe it wasn’t a fluke and they lowered the time!?

ParticipantGreat to see everyone today, looking forward to this each week to get to know more folks better, rather than once a month. Good idea to have this.

ParticipantI’ll be there, quite early for me! But work is right next door so not bad at all.
