You’d need another 10 or so to keep pace with traffic.

Still think the best sort of traffic calming is a consistent police presence. Probably would pay for itself on Washington Blvd.

Oddly enough, despite having a number of interesting unplanned motorcycle dismounts (including one in which an electrician’s van drove over my arm), all my bad injuries have been bicycle-related.
Cracked vertebrae, broken collarbone, and a couple of nasty concussions—all on the bicycle.
    C’est la vie.
Or, better yet—Ca plane pour moi.

There’s always the classic, “Ride to Live. Live to Ride.”

I first heard that one in a cycling context. I think it’s on some stickers from ACA, too. I saw it today on some tee-shirts being worn by all the motorcycle riders in town for 9/11, though the first part of the phrase seems MUCH much more applicable to a cardiovascular exercise activity like cycling than riding a motorcycle. That’s not to dis motorcycle riding. It’s something I’ve become increasingly interested in with time. It just seems a lot less aerobic than cycling.

I’m familiar with that from Aerostich (makes/sellers of awesome motorcycle stuff).

I agree. For level playing field reasons as well. We’ll just need two officials with race sheets and synchronized watches.

‘ indicates minutes, ” indicates seconds, but I kinda like your idea, too. Precision Cabi formation riding.

    What could possibly go wrong?
I’m in (assuming no timing conflicts).

Would noon or afternoon on a Friday work for most folks? Warm-up lap in a pace line followed by individual starts with 20″ between. Cycling attire left to the participants’ discretion.
