1/8/21 – Bell (but not on a bike) OR an Elvis
January 8 is Elvis Presley’s birthday. What were at the bottom of his jumpsuits? Bells! Post a pic of a bell that isn’t on a bike OR an Elvis you spot on your ride (just 1 pic please). Happy hunting!
1/8/21 – Bell – I passed about 10 churches on my short 1 mile BikeShare ride, and no bells. Just as I was about to return the bike, I discovered this gem on the side of a building.

1/7/21 – Moon
On January 7, 1610, Galileo discovered 3 of the moons of Jupiter. Creative entries encouraged, but if your photo of your “moon” is not apparent, please explain. Happy hunting!
PS – no derrieres. This is a family friendly hunt!
1/7/21 – the bright spot to the left of the street lamp is today’s morning moon. I’ve included a closer shot for verification but after yesterday’s kerfuffle, I thought it might be nice to see a glimmer of sunrise over The Capitol.

1/6/21 – Small Business that features beans. Happy hunting!
Not only is it National Bean Day, it’s Rowan Atkinson’s (aka Mr Bean) birthday! Small business definitely means no Chipotle, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Baja Fresh. Again, it’d be cool if it’s a place you actually like – and if you’d want to – explain why.
Please remember in your posts to either reply/quote this or write the date and what the hunted object is
1/6/21 – Yes, Boon not Bean. Boon is a coffee making ceremony in Eritrea, home of my local coffee shop owner.

ParticipantIt’s been awhile but I’m looking forward to trying this again.
Sorting out my winter gear and will be ready to ride Jan 1.LeslyJ
ParticipantI’m in ….. Now if I can just figure out how to stay healthy this year.
LeslyJ
ParticipantI really need to pay closer attention to the forum.
Sorry I missed the canal ride but would definitely like to join in the future. I’m not big on night riding but it sounds fun.
I would also vote for HH at Right Proper.
Also, I will try to make it to Swings on Friday morning.

ParticipantLesly here……I was also on a team with Sara and Ken, last year.
I don’t commute but I do try to ride as many days as possible during the winter. I really hate cold weather but FS encourages me to get out and ride. I’m planning to ride across the country this summer, so I need as many miles as possible this winter.
I live downtown DC and look forward to joining you all for a ride.

ParticipantThanks for the DC location. I’m in!

ParticipantWell, thanks for the clarification. I’ve been riding too many miles. I’ll need to cut back!
LeslyJ
ParticipantApologies to my future teammates, but my goal is to be queen of the sleaze ride!

When I click on your link above, and then on the graph, I get an athlete # of 702966 for you.
I got it. I was initially using my iPad and didn’t see the number. Went to my Mac and found it. Thanks!

ParticipantI am attempting to register for my first Freezing Saddles. I have been using Strava for a couple of years (well, I have an account), but I don’t have an athlete number. In my profile, it shows http://www.strava.com/athletes/lesly_j. The Google doc will only take a number. Any idea how I get a number vs my name?
