ParticipantI’m in for Monday too. Not at 5pm but will be there by 6 and will stay to the end.

ParticipantA “Sleaze ride” is getting on your bike and riding the minimum 1 mile just to get the 10 points for getting on the bike.
The 10 points just to “get on the bike” did definitely motivate. I got on the bike to pick up dinner after a 20+ hour flight from Kathmandu.

Larger teams might ease the pressure a little…
And make those of us with mandated international work travel in the Jan – March time frame feel a little less bad. That said, it is doubtful I would have ridden on three continents last winter without Freezing Saddles. Maybe pressure isn’t such a bad thing.
I second that the competition worked fabulously last year. I LOVED it and somehow haven’t managed to cut back my mileage since!

ParticipantMy morning commute reminded me of how I love fall and how we, the bike commuting ELITE, are among the fortunate few who actually look forward to our daily commutes!

we’ll have to talk about getting you signed up for capital cross classic in reston.
Out of town that weekend. Bummer. Looks like I’ll miss the 2013 cross season but something to plan on for next year.

ParticipantThat looks like SOOOO much fun. At the risk of jeopardizing my relationship, since Dave is already sick of me racing kayaks, is there a women’s field and if so what is it like? As dcv and others know, I love riding the Viaje on dirt so combining that plus running around jumping over things sounds very entertaining.

Hi WABA folks!
I just joined the forum, as suggested by the good folks at Proteus bike shop.
I am posting two honest, legit items for sale. My Univega road bike with Campagnolo Daytona, the first bike I ever bought new, selling now because I want to upgrade. And a rear wheel compatible with Campy 10-speed (American Classic cog set). Please check out the Classifieds!
I live in Anne Arundel County, but I work for NatGeo and I’m in DC 3-4 days per week. (Long commute, right? I take the MARC train, and use Capital Bikeshare to get around town.) I’d be happy to meet you downtown if you want to take a look.
NatGeo will be hosting a Bike to Work Day checkpoint again this year, and we’re planning a great bash – hope you consider stopping by! 😎

Hello there Gina! We meet again. Do I see a Vaya in your future?

So there’s a 53 cm Viaje at Bikenetic just waiting for me to take it for a ride?
Yep, there is one there when I was in the shop last week. Of course there is also a 53 at my house which you could ride pretty much whenever …..

ParticipantI’m out of town tomorrow so no coffee club for me but nonetheless please, please stop posting pics of puggles! I WANT one and my two resident kitties would certainly not approve.
