ParticipantCrossed paths with Hozn this morning near EFC. He must have really bundled up his offspring in the trailer he was pulling. It was only 18 degrees at 6:30 am!

ParticipantThat looks like fun!

Even with all this crap, the brakes worked and shifters shifted.

Those will probably come in handy tonight and tomorrow morning … sigh.

Pictures of your bike make me long for spring and all-day-long bike rides under the sun. I’d fill that front bag as the french intended — with wine, cheese and a nice baguette. WSGFABR!

ParticipantShawn’s road route into downtown from Falls Church is downright enjoyable at 7am. All clear except for a few large snow piles in the bike lanes occasionally from where they cleared the roads. Fortunately drivers seem nicer and more willing to make some room for bikes at 7am than they do at 8am!

Craptastic. Still no gym access, so work clothes. No busses on Braddock Rd, either express or local. So, rode sheets of ice to Little River Turnpike, where I saw a local bus to King Street and took that. Big mistake. Took an hour to get to King Street metro. Rode Commonwealth to four mile run, portaged on a snow-covered sidewalk across the stream at Rt. 1, then back down 4MR to Eads to the Pentagon. Trying for Memorial Bridge, I rode on 110 for 1/2 mile or so because the trail was unusable. The cars were nice though. Memorial Bridge path was ice covered but passable. Lincoln Memorial plaza was mostly unpassable. And then rode in the streets to work. One hour and 50 minutes door to door.
I thought your strava feed looked a little bizarre. Glad you arrived safely!

Cindi, there’s a bit of snow on the trails
Ummm, thanks, because you know I just wasn’t sure. Alas confined to metro this morning and then couldn’t even take CABI since they are/were still closed. Hoping to get my sleaze in this afternoon!
