Jokes on you! I broke into the BA offices and swiped my prize early:

Now… how do I attach it to my zipper?

Congratulations! Hit me up in a year and I might have a Burley trailer for you.

Thank! My computer crapped out yesterday.

But now I’ll never beat my old PRs on Strava.

I am Peter. I ride a white steel cx bike bought from that place on the internet. Distinguishing features are silver VO fenders, blue panniers and orange brake cable housing (I haven’t gotten around to the derailleur housing yet). You’ll find me all around DC, Montgomery County, and parts of Arlington County.

That 5 minute walk would be a 2 minute bike ride. I just gave you an extra 6 minutes in your day.

I may just end up at Bailey’s all day if the mad dash crazy happens.

Thanks to Laurie and Jeff for organizing! Everyone was in good spirits despite the rain. Nice to meet Dickie and glad the vertigo is under control. Riding with Bilsko afterwards left me thinking of riding more, good luck training for the Fleche.

I am amazed at what Team 26 accomplished physically, but can’t imagine what they’ve gone through emotionally. I truly hope and wish that Congress hears the message that they rode down here to deliver.

I made it home in time to go pickup the kids from school and this ride gave me a greater appreciation for how lucky we all are.

I rolled around HP this morning at about 8:45 and there’s still about 6-8″ of standing water covering the road at the end of the island (just by the playground and lot where the tent was set up for the HP100.
Looked like this when I rode through it: http://instagram.com/p/Wt9IbbtopP/

Also, really stupid riding through it when I know my shoes wont dry before the ride home and i was going to wear those socks today.

Stuff the shoes with newspaper or paper towels. Might need to change them out a few times, but that should get your shoes pretty dry.

Bailey’s has a large bar area for smokers and then a separate dining room for non-smokers. I would vote for Bailey’s if it was a Tuesday since beer is $2 all day.
Kora has a private room and a decent sized bar separate from the dining area.
Jaleo has a long bar, but it just runs the length of the dining area.
BW3 has a large bar area in the back.

There is also a King Street Blues in the Underground that has a separate bar area.

Does anyone here know anything about what the possible Crystal City venues are like and the bike and car parking situations?

I’ve never gone anywhere in Crystal City except to Good Stuff and once to some other place that closed. I usually lock to a park bench, but I think there are a few racks.

Not sure if I’ll make it, but since I work in Crystal City here are a few places on Crystal Drive.

Bailey’s – Lots of beer, food is ok
BW3 – Ok selection of beer, food is ok
Kora – Large bar area, 3-4 taps, usually one tap is something great and they have good food
Jaleo – Not sure about the beer on draft, but the food is good

Starting to think The Clymb is using the Forum for their cycling sales. Anyways, they have Strider bikes on sale for the next 2 days.
