ParticipantIt cracks me up that you guys are arguing about being safe on the trails. Lighten up you are riding a bike after all.

To be honest, I was happy to write the first four emails about bike issues. But I had to think long and hard about the moped. I mean sure, who doesn’t get a 2:00 am craving for a half-smoke and a Slurpee that’s when pulling the moped out for a ride to 7-11 makes perfect sense. On the other hand, you don’t need a license to ride one, a loophole I’m sure my elderly mother will be only too happy to exploit in the near future. But because e-bikes are on the horizon, and alternative transportation is something we are trying to find, I caved.
It’s a loophole that I am happily “exploiting” and I’m not a senior citizen. I’m not allowed to ride my ebike on the custis, and this bill would prevent me from riding on lee hwy. how am I supposed to get to work??? BS!
By the way, thank you. I sent an email voicing my opposition.

Ok, but I’m still gonna post pictures of stuff I see along the trail!

Can you report it?
I thought this is kinda what I was doing. Because I’m paranoid, I prefer not to send emails.

Do you really want them to exercise their other method, which is to pass you without crossing the double yellow line?
True. That would be going over me. It just amazes me that people are in that much of a hurry to risk lives.

ParticipantTo the drivers on Shreve road who insist on passing me by crossing the double yellow line into oncoming traffic while I’m going the speed limit. You are going to kill someone, idiots!!!

ParticipantCan’t remember who I got the idea from here, but plastic bags over your shoes actually works great. Kept my feet dry.

ParticipantI almost got hit by one of those park ranger pickups on the custis last week coming around a blind corner. Actually, I almost ran into it. Scared the $#!+ out of me though.
