Bar Mitts are the best. I could wear fishnet gloves today and still be seating. I just don’t understand why my hand felt warm, yet my neoprened, wool socked and linered feet were frostbitten.

I saw those yesterday. Even though signs have been posted for weeks, and I’ve seen the gates, do I still have permission to accidentally run into them some dark morning, start cursing and write a rant about not being fully informed that the county was doing this?

I’m getting a little bit concerned about all the other teams who aren’t Team 2. They don’t seem to be able to keep up. I’d hate for them to get discouraged so early in the game.

I think maybe I’ll take tomorrow off the bike. Give them a chance to make up a few points, keep their spirits up and all that. ;)

That’s ok, I went around yesterday and bought the entire DC area’s Advil and Ibuprofen supply, so all of you will be stopping shortly. Next stop, all the milk and chocolate syrup. Mwuhahahahahah

I don’t care which team wins. I want to give all of you a big, fluffy hug! You are awesome!

(Yup! Trash talk is pretty much lost on me. :D )

Dirt may have taken the high road, but the Scoundrels will be KICKING NAMES AND TAKING BUTT!!!!!

Wait, that doesn’t sound right. I need to stop riding on the weekend, and watch more sports to study this trash talking thing more. I’ll have to get back to you.

The loop was ice free, except for the minor plow lines on custis. You could use your road bike today. I would go as far as to say, that was the most pleasant ride in days. Don’t quote me, but I swear I felt a warm breeze while going up custis.

Great back up wheels for you guys who have a CX that want a second set so you can stop swapping between knobbies and roadies. Don’t be fooled by the few spokes, Rolf Vector Comps are proven tanks that can hang with Open Pros. For $40 it is a bargain.

Wow, my bad they are vector pros!!! Much better!

How about north Arlington streets? Anyone riding a roady around? I was pretty much confined to doing loops on my steel CX. Not fun to say the least.

Don’t forget, the weekend is a time to spend with family, not silly biking. I for one will be making friendship bracelets with my daughters all weekend. So, think of some quality crafting you can be doing as a family this weekend. Maybe on Monday we can trade crafts. Better hurry up, i already made 5. Happy crafting!!!
    Sincerely,

No, you can’t, because that’s my plan:o. Either consularrider or subby– between them, they got in about a month’s worth of my riding on day 1, so I’m sure it’ll all be good.

Both of you are wrong. A rest day, or even a rest weekend is very helpful, and let’s not forget this is the cold and flu season, which is best to stay indoors. This holds true for all the teams. I saw many of you at the meet and greet and several of you looked very tired. Your health and well being should come first and that begins with a long rest period.
    Sincerely,
    Team 6

It was fun taking the mountain bike out for the first time in a long time. Felt like a teenager zooming around smashing stuff with my fat tires. If I didn’t have a bad back, bad knees, was twenty years younger, no sore shoulder, twenty pounds lighter and didn’t have a fear of getting ouchies, I would so get back into mountain biking!

Thank you lonely dog walker for graciously taking the shot

Ah, nothing like fresh powder! Actually for you roadies who are looking outside saying the roads don’t look bad, the only place I fell was on the streets. More ice than you think!
